Day 354

"Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth." Deuteronomy 28:1

Text: Exodus 39 : 32

CONCLUSION OF THE TABERNACLE BUILDING PROJECT

The Tabernacle Building Project must have taken many months, even if all worked very hard. At long last, the project was brought to a successful conclusion.

“Thus all the work of the tabernacle of the tent of
meeting was finished.
And the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD
had commanded Moses; so they did.”
EXODUS 39:32

A number of heart-warming thoughts may be drawn from this text:-

1. The Lord’s Part- The Commandment to Erect a Tabernacle

This was a wonderful idea of the Lord. This was His special way of expressing His love for Israel. He promised them that the Tabernacle would represent His Presence among His people!

2. Moses’ part- To Represent the Lord

His work may seem easy and straightforward. In reality it was a very difficult and demanding work. Many were the complications along the way. Five aspects may be highlighted!

a) Instruction
b) Exhortation
c) Admonition
d) Intercession
e) Organization

3. Israel’s Part- Full Support for the Tabernacle Project

Israel could be very stubborn and sinful at times. But on this occasion, the nation rose to the occasion. When the Tabernacle building project was announced, thousands rose up and they brought whatever was needed for the Tabernacle project. They gave so much that they had to be actually restrained from bringing any more for the project.

4. Bezalel, Aholiab and the gifted artisans

They did their part admirably and faithfully. With inspiration in their hearts from the Spirit of God, all worked very hard. With a great sense of awareness of the sacredness of this Building project, the Tabernacle was successfully completed in good time!
