Exodus

Day 355

"And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God." Deuteronomy 28:2

Text: Exodus 39 : 33-43

PRESENTATION OF ALL THE COMPLETED WORKS

Bezalel and Aholiab had wonderfully fulfilled all the work entrusted to them. There was just one more thing to do. They needed to present their work to Moses for inspection.

“And they brought the tabernacle to Moses,
the tent and all its furnishings…”
EXODUS 39:33

How would this inspection turn out? Israel had come to know, respect and love their great leader, Moses! He would check out each and every detail. All items would be carefully inspected.

Moses would check every single detail. If Ithamar, the son of Aaron kept an inventory of all the gold, silver and bronze that were utilized, we can expect no less from Moses! If the people were conscious of God’s Presence and His commandments, Moses would have an even higher level of awareness!

PASSING THE INSPECTION

Moses went through every single item very carefully. (Exodus 39:33-41 gives a list of the various items that were made). He was not one to take chances when it comes to the matter of worship and obeying God’s commandments. After what must have seemed a very long time, Moses approved of all that were presented to him.

“According to all that the LORD had commanded Moses,
so the children of Israel did all the work.”
EXODUS 39:42

Yes, Israel had done “according to all that the LORD had commanded”. How pleased Moses must have felt as he inspected and approved of the work done!

BLESSING OF THE PEOPLE

How Moses must have been moved to pronounce a special word of blessing to Israel for a good job well done.

“Then Moses looked over all the work,
and indeed they had done it; as the LORD
had commanded, just so they had done it.
And Moses blessed them.”
EXODUS 39:43

1. “And Moses blessed them”

This was such a rare moment that it must be carefully preserved. Moses must have been deeply touched indeed! He could not but bless their hearts for their labor of love.

2. “As the LORD had commanded, just so they had done it”

Would to God that Israel keep this spirit of obedience!
