"Nourished and knit together..."
Text: Colossians 2:19
THE BODY OF CHRIST
There is a vital connection between the Head and the Body. This is clearly expressed here.
“And not holding fast to the Head, from whom all
the body, nourished and knit together by joints and
ligaments, grows with the increase that is from God.”
Colossians 2:19
1. “The Head”
a) It is vitally linked to the rest of the body.
b) Without the Head the body is dead!
2. “The Body”
a) Each part is integrally linked to the other.
b) The joints and the ligaments are obviously linked to each other.
3. “Nourished and knit together”
a) They supply nutrients to each other.
b) They are knit together in the most wondrous way.
4. Results
a) There is growth.
b) This growth can keep increasing.
5. God’s part
a) He causes the growth.
b) He is the One who has planned this to happen.
