"A far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory."

Text: 2 Corinthians 4:17

THE REALITY OF THE ETERNAL

To many people, the idea of the eternal is not very real. To Paul, the eternal was very relevant and significant!

“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment,
is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,
while we do not look at the things which are seen,
but at the things which are not seen.
For the things which are seen are temporary,
but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
2 Corinthians 4:17-18

1. Two realities compared and contrasted

c) But they do not need to affect the spirit of faith in any adverse manner.

3. The external realm

a) They are things which the human eye can see.
b) These things are only of temporary significance.

we are transformed totally in the image of Christ. 2 Corinthians 3:18
