Day 40

"In sanctification and honour."

Text: 1 Thessalonians 4:4

THE CALL TO EXERCISE DISCIPLINE

The matter of immorality was of great importance. Thus Paul and Silas pursued the matter further.

“That each of you should know how to possess his own vessel
in sanctification and honour, not in passion of lust,
like the Gentiles who do not know God.”

1 Thessalonians 4:4-5

a) “Each of you”
i) This is a reference to the individual.
ii) Each person is responsible to maintain a high moral standard.

ii) They pay no attention to God’s commandments.
iii) They think nothing of sexual immorality.

4. Urgent word of Exhortation
