THE PROBLEM OF BEING JUDGMENTAL

Judge not
a) Do not be quick to judge
b) Do not be judgmental

The measure of our judgment
a) We have our measure of judging
b) We have to be prepared to be judged by the same measure (Matthew 7:2)

The problem of hypocrisy
a) Looking at the speck of dirt in someone’s eye (Matthew 7:3-4)
b) Consideration of the plank in our own eye (Matthew 7:3-4)
c) Remove the plank in your own eye (hypocrisy)
d) Then can we see clearly (Matthew 7:5 )
GIVING OF THAT WHICH IS HOLY
(Matthew 7:6)

That which is holy
a) The Word of God
b) The teachings of the Lord Jesus

Who are receiving that which is holy?
a) Dogs cannot appreciate that which is holy
b) Pigs cannot appreciate pearls
-
They will trample underfoot
-
They will attack you and tear you to pieces
THE PROBLEM OF REJECTION OF THE WORD OF GOD AND OF THE SERVANTS OF GOD

Of whom the world is not worthy (Hebrews 11:35-38)

The need to be strong in the Lord (Jeremiah 1:18; Ephesians 6:10)
