a) The Disciples
Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven              Matthew 13:11a

b) Non-Disciples
But to them it has not been given                               Matthew 13:11b

c) Further explanations

i) For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance                Matthew 13:12a

ii) But whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him           Matthew 13:12b

iii) Because seeing they do not see                                                                                                 Matthew 13:13

iv) And hearing they do not hear                                                                                                    Matthew 13:13

v) Nor do they understand                                                                                                                Matthew 13:13

d) Fulfilment of the prophecy of Isaiah
(Man’s part)

i) The hearts of this people have grown dull                        Matthew 13:15

ii) Their ears are hard of hearing                                             Matthew 13:15

iii) Their eyes they have closed                                                  Matthew 13:15

e) Fulfilment of the prophecy of Isaiah
(God’s part)

i) Lest they should see with their eyes                                               Matthew 13:15

ii) And hear with their ears                                                                    Matthew 13:15

iii) Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn     Matthew 13:15

iv) So that I should heal them                                                               Matthew 13:15

f) Added word of encouragement to the disciples

i) But blessed are your eyes for they see                                          Matthew 13:16

ii) And your ears for they hear                                                            Matthew 13:16
