3. What should we Review:

a) Knowledge
i) About God (as Father)
ii) About Prayer (The Lord’s Prayer)
iii) About Blessings (Beatitudes)
iv) Correction of wrong Teachings and Practices
b) Responses
i) No response or Superficial response
ii) Good and significant response
c) Life
i) Current status to be evaluated
ii) Weakness to be taken note of
iii) Correct Practices to be implemented and sustained
d) Goals
i) Being a Disciple
ii) Spiritual Growth
iii) Being a servant of the Lord
iv) Bearing fruit

DANGER HIGHLIGHTED

1. Danger of False prophets/Teachers (Matthew 7:15)

a) Difficulty of recognizing them
i) Wolves
ii) In sheep’s clothing
b How can we identify them?
i) You will know by their fruits (Matthew 7:16a, 20)
ii) Illustration of Trees
c) What will happen at the end?
i) It will be cut down
ii) It will be thrown into the fire
d) Warning of false prophets in the Old Testament
i) Jeremiah 23
ii) Ezekiel 13
e) The danger they posed
i) They were a threat to Israel

2. False Assumption
Matthew 7:21-23

a) Entrance into the kingdom of God
i) We think that just because we call Jesus “Lord”
ii) We think that we have prophesied in God’s name
iii) We think that we have the power to cast out demons
b) Many will have this false assumption
c) They would be denied by the Lord
i) He never knew them

3. Danger of a False Foundation
(Matthew 7:24-27)

A TRUE AND STRONG FOUNDATION
(Matthew 7:24-25)

1. The teachings of Jesus

b) Accepted

2. Practice of His Teachings

3. A Rock foundation is then formed

4. A house is built

5. No storm can destroy this House built on a Rock
